[UMW Libraries] Faculty Academy 2011: Wesch is describing his field work in New Guinea and how that experience of becoming acculturated in a completely alien environment shaped who he is and the research he is doing now. In US culture, relationships are mediated. Our identity is shaped by how we name ourselves through social media.
