[Whatdoiknow.typepad.com] What Do I Know?: Food for Eating, Not Thought: When those apples and bananas are beginning to oxidize (a cooking euphemism for "rot"), I grab flour, bowls, and cookbooks (sometimes) and end up with something tasty and not too artery-clogging. I've even considered writing a cookbook called "The Rotten Fruit Cookbook".

Today his blue eyes have gone milky but they still sparkle, his wiry frame remains agile, and his most painful memories are still fresh - even after 83 years.
