Environment: Chemistry For Fun and Profit

[The Liquid List] WTOP radio news here in D.C. is reporting on an interesting discovery in the lush green waters of the mighty Potomac river. Male fish producing eggs:

Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.

[Allthingspass.com] All Things Pass Journalism :: Most Recent Publication(s) :: A ...: In the capital's halls of power, treaties are forged and broken. And the mighty Potomac ó undaunted by the growing human tide ó flows silently through it.

[Ml.paradoxia.net] beyond expectation: It's definitely got the irreverence I need inlife. You would like this comic if you like to ponder the meaning of lifeand laugh about it, if you like to have philosophical arguments with God,or if you think that anyone's entitled to their opinion as long as you canmake fun of it! I find these two strips to be particularly enlightening:

http://waddle.blogspot.com [Waddle.blogspot.com] Waddling Thunder: Yet another law school blog: In law school, a journal is a student edited periodical, based on the almost preposterous notion that people who have been studying the law for months, or even a couple of years, have the ability to change, correct, and reject pieces by professionals of great experience. At any law school, the king of this unruly jungle is the mighty Law Review, the only one of these journals which typically weeds out students by academic achievement.Look, for example, at the grand-daddy of this genre, the Harvard Law Review, or its peer publications, such as the Stanford Law Review or even the iconoclastically named Yale Law Journal.

Chrisabraham.com[Chrisabraham.com] Chris Abraham: Personal Archives: Good thing he was wearing his helmet. Even his very fashionable shirt was unscathed," said Gelles, and "did a full somersault onto his back and was up and on his feet checking himself for injury within 5 seconds of ejection."

[Blackcore.com] timmy's blog - powered by DeepBlack: And not to mention having to continually code new stuff in, so I can say I'm at least actively developing this blog app. God knows, if this app crashed every other day due to a resource leak, or if I hadn't actually went and coded in almost every feature that I wanted in this webapp, and they all actually work rather well, that I would have just kicked this thing to the curb and went on to use one of those more established blogging applications - so instead of spending my Saturdays coding, refactoring and twiddling with this thing, I could mabye be sitting on the couch watching the History Channel. (or Hitler Channel as my friends call it).
