[Greenpeace Australia Pacific] Greenpeace Australia Pacific » Blog Archive » Rudd's climate ...: In the face of the economic meltdown, Kevin Rudd toured the world, holding crisis talks with global leaders to develop an urgent rescue package for the international banking system. In the face of the climate crisis, the best he seems capable of is a global suicide pact.

[Green Inc.] Is the Nuclear Renaissance Fizzling? - Green Inc. Blog - NYTimes.com: Nuclear should be a part of the low-carbon mix, and it may turn out to be a smart choice, but for heaven’s sake let’s make these choices based on real information, not rosy forecasts. And as for the usual dose of government-bashing, I’ll just point out that nearly every nuclear plant built in the United States, 100% of which were late and over budget, pretty close to that number WAY late and WAY over budget, were built by private-sector utilities, while the French nuclear program, which nuclear cheerleaders love to cite as the poster child for why we should increase our reliance on nuclear, is a government owned utility.

[Say Anything: Reader Blogs] Global Warming Conspiracy Exposed - It's Liberal Thugocracy AGAIN ...: People are being frightened - and policy is being decided - based on nothing more than cartoons. The cartoons are presented in a variety of formats: from computer model projections that have been fixed in advance, to demands to shutter coal energy electricity plants based on nothing more than the emotional harangue of despicable metaphors of genocide.

[ScienceBlogs Channel : Technology] Nuclear Power : Deltoid: The IEA has systematically underestimated the potential of renewable energy sources like wind and solar, "because of its ties to the oil, gas and nuclear sectors," Energy Watch, a group of scientists and politicians, charged in a January 2009 report. Swiss parliamentarian and Energy Watch member Rudolf Rechsteiner said that IEA was "delaying the change to a renewable world.

[Whatanews4u.Sports] BBC - Mark Mardell's America: Obama defends climate change record: California attacks cars because they don't want to lose oil and coal revenue while still getting votes from their HIPPIE population. When they stop selling oil to Americans for cars You think oil producing states like California(who pretends they aren't an oil state)Texas,Alaska aren't going to sell oil to other countries than your a fool.California sells COAL to other countries.COAL is the biggest pollutant in this country.Just like Michigan sells Trucks and SUVs to other countries and doesn't care about the pollution. But America uses a lot of electricity and Coal is the problem.

[BBC NEWS | Talk about Newsnight] BBC NEWS | Talk about Newsnight | Friday, 2 May, 2008: In fact thanks to most of the post-mortem interviews I'm still not sure the right fellow won, as a succession of lads and ladies were trotted out to explain that it was all the fault of everyone and everything but the fact that a majority of the electorate provided their democratic votes not to Labour and then Mr. Livingstone, and for all manner of reasons that were nothing to do with the possible reason these free-willed individuals were being presented with options they didn't fancy very much any more from the incumbents.

[Guy Fawkes' blog] The Lobby's Shameful Complicity in McPoison's Reign of Terror ...:   The Lobby felt relief.  The little boy who had pointed at the naked Lobby was rebuffed.  Who has ended up looking the biggest fools?  As you write your reviews of the years of terror and spin, do you not feel just the slightest tinge of guilt at your complicity?  Guido, too far below the salt to even be nominated for the Orwell Prize for Bloggers, remembered that speaking truth in a time of deceit was a revolutionary act, and the Lobby journalists now sleep safe in their beds tonight, because a rough blogger was prepared to do violence on Damian McBride.

[Journal of an Open Sourcee] Journal of an Open Sourcee » Blog Archive » Online music ...: I don’t know how your work environment is, but where I work all the engineers spend their entire days with their headphones glued to their heads listening to music. Each one of us must own a couple of thousands music files (all legal copies, I can assure you) in our laptops, and since we all share our collections through the office, one could say that we have a pretty decent online selection of music for all genres and tastes.
