[Watts Up With That?] This clever tactic of claiming near-certainty of at least SOME effect of humans on weather events was originally invented by NASAs James Hansen in his 1988 Senate testimony for Al Gore, an event that became the turning point for raising public awareness of “global warming” (oops, Im sorry, I mean climate change).

[GCC News Brief] #climate: Al Gore: 'The message still has to be about the reality we're ...: They used to say that the climate crisis changes the odds of extreme weather events”this was the old metaphor of “loading the dice.” Now, they say theres not only a greater likelihood of rolling 12s, but were actually loading 13s and could soon be rolling 15s and 16s. As scientists like James Hansen [of NASAs Goddard Institute for Space Studies] and Kevin Trenberth [of the National Center for Atmospheric Research] point out, the changes brought about by man-made global-warming pollution have reached the stage that every event is now being affected by it in some way.
[louisianaweekly] Al Gore compares climate change skeptics to racists | louisianaweekly: Project 21 spokesman Jerome Hudson noted: “When Al Gore compares those who question his perception of man-made global warming to racists and segregationists in an attempt to ”win the conversation, he reveals a disturbing desperation that not only alienates him from the mainstream but marginalizes his logic and nullifies his already flailing credibility.” Beyond the absurdity and offensive nature of Gores statement, Project 21 experts also point out that Gores own family history and the expected extent of his regulatory agenda marginalize his credibility when he attempts to embrace the civil rights movement.
[The Daily Caller] Al Gore | Global warming | racists | The Daily Caller: Al Gore is this generation’s snake oils salesman. Folks there is indeed climate change. Turn on your TV. It’s called the science channel. On it you can learn how the Earth evolves every single day. Get used to it. There is NOTHING you can do to stop it. Like George Carlin said, “When the Earth is done with us she will shake us off like a bad case of the flees”. To think that we have but the tiniest impact on weather is laughable. Al Gore is the racist here. He wants to enslave mankind under the heavy burden of government control and suck your money from you pockets like a Hoover. Next he’ll blame Earthquakes on humans. This man is the biggest damn hypocrite on the face the Earth. He doesn’t give a crap about you, this planet, or the environment. He only cares about power and money. I’ve worked with some of the men who were around him on his PSD many times. He treats everyone around him like dirt unless they have what he wants; power and money. Don’t fall for this egotistical idiots BS. The Earth will change, it IS changing. Instead of trying to figure out how to stop it we’d best figure out how to roll with the tide of change because there is no stopping it. Cities will flood, ice plates will form, deserts will expand, hurricanes will come, oceans will rise, earthquakes will shake, tornadoes will destroy, the Sun will get hot, and nothing, nothing, nothing you or I do will stop it. This jackass just wants to get rich off of your fears. Now we should protect our water and air from pollution that I agree on. But THAT will not stop climate change. The climate will always change. Go outside and enjoy the Earth while it’s in the calmest state of climate change it’s ever been in in it’s 4 billion year history. If you used a 24 hour clock to demonstrate those 4 billion years man would represent only the last 9 minutes of that clock. Do you really think we can affect and change the Earth THAT much? If you do I have some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you. Just go there and wait…
