[Bleeding edge blog] Celebrate policy change and activities on behalf of the ...: The company plans to shake up the moribund US auto industry and dramatically curb CO2 emissions, ripping out the internal combustion engine and the petrol tank, and replacing both with a motor that boasts few moving parts and the sort of lithium batteries found in laptops. A limited-edition Tesla Roadster, a sports car that reaches 60 mph in less than four seconds, and can do 245 miles per charge, is due this year.

[ecorazzi.com :: the latest in green gossip] Laurie David's Wetlands Mishap In Photos // Archives // ecorazzi ...: The construction has been virtually ceaseless, and for all these years I have been forced to see, hear, smell, and even taste exactly what it entails for this kind of self-aggrandizing building to go on–I have spoken out against the hypocrisy of David’s supposed concern for the environment many times, and been attacked by her camp for it just as often. [Curbed LA] Curbed LA: A Primer on LA's Eco-Village: Lois Arkin founded the Eco-Village project 15 years ago as part of the Cooperative Resources & Service Project, a resource center for small ecological cooperative communities. Ecologically, the group plants trees, uses sustainable building materials, utilizes public transit (most residents don't drive), and employs solar power and watersaving devices.

[The Housing Bubble Blog] The Housing Bubble Blog » Bits Bucket For May 31, 2009: Not to mention one of my pet peeves is how Nestle Waters (French corporation)pumps out Crystal Springs which is the headwaters of the Hillsborough River, on which Tampa depends for its water. I have no proof, but I’m convinced Nestle increases its pumping when there’s a drought, so residents don’t know any better and blame the low leve of the Hillsborough River on the drought rather than the pumping.
