[NewsBusters.org - Exposing Liberal Media Bias] Of course, if Andrew Revkin ever did seriously question the global warming dogma more forcefully, that could constitute employment endangerment at the Times. Hey, economic times are tough and your humble correspondent understands the necessity of avoiding the dreaded pink slip. For the time being you can continue to wink coded mixed messages at us, Andrew.

[Home] Climate Change Fraud - Because the debate is not over - Arctic Ice ...: None of the sea-ice specialists Ive interviewed since 2000 on Arctic trends ever predicted a straight-line path to an open-water Arctic, but quite a few have stressed the longstanding idea that as white ice retreats, solar energy that would have been reflected back into space is absorbed by the dark sea, with that heat then melting existing ice and shortening the winter frozen season. Ive just sent out a query to a batch of experts, asking if the potential ice recovery now raises questions about the importance of that light-dark shift in albedo compared to other dynamics in the Arctic Ocean.

On the heels of his recent "heresy" of quoting noted climatologist Mojib Latif's finding that the world will probably be in for a cooling trend for the next decade or two, Revkin's latest report will probably not sit well with the global warming alarmists:

There is no question that this is one of the most magnificent places in the world that you can travel, but its very, very important to build up some pretty significant experience because bad stuff can happen.”
[Global Warming] Joe Bastardi, Global Warming and the Upcoming Hurricane ...: The claimed health hazard from carbon dioxide is, of course, global warming, yet the data we have seen, such as Stanford economist Thomas Gale Moores work, show that warmer temperatures and higher incomes are associated with healthier, longer-living people. In case environmentalists havent noticed, bio-diversity is also much greater when temperatures are higher.
[Crikey » Politics] 40 scientists write: Climate disaster, an urgent challenge - Crikey: Active diplomacy, tied to aid, for adaptation to and mitigation of climate change, to convince developing countries, as well as the United States, to commit to substantial reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, including constraints on emissions from Australian coal exports. We must lead by example — not asking others to do as we say, but to do as we do.
[Jennifer Marohasy] Jennifer Marohasy » News Reports for October Indicate Global Cooling: October 17, 2008. Excerpt: The period of global warming that we have experienced on our planet over the last century, which has seen a rise in temperature of some 0,6 oC, does not correlate at all with a rise in the concentration of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2), but is does correlate with solar activity. Indications are that solar activity is the primary driver of the variation in global temperature.

[Global Warming] Young, Thin Sea Ice replacing Old, Thick Ice - AccuWeather.com ...: Chris, unfortunately, this isn't a regular forum or I could point you back to where PH spotted (using NOAA data) where Hansen had selected how he had filtered the data points to show a heating trend when using the raw data the trend was for more of a cooling and there were anomalous data points, like the "warming" in Antarctica when only one of the stations showed any warming at all. As for myself, I saw some of the data coming out of the hacked up model Hansen finally released to the public and how it was forced to alter raw data "warmer" to replicate Hansen's results.
[Watts Up With That?] Antarctica warming? An evolution of viewpoint « Watts Up With That?: knowledge with both hands as the wheels appear to be falling off the proposed emissions trading scheme, not necessarily because of global cooling facts but people are nervous about jobs due to the global finacial meltdown. I just hope that one of politicians sees the threat of global cooling as a get out of gaol card for the stupid emissions trading scheme that will have no impact on the worlds emissions even if they were causing a problem, afterall Australia produces less than 1.5% of the worlds CO2 and its percentage is falling due to the growth of China and India.
