Common Sense and Wonderhttp://commonsensewonder.com/?p=3584 [Common Sense and Wonder] The Greatest Scientific Hoax Ever Perpetrated: If you believe that liberal bastion of policy wonks and diplomats (and a couple of decent, and many not-so-decent, scientists), the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), we cannot reverse it. The IPCC closed its Fourth Assessment Report’s (AR4) Summary for Policymakers with this: “[B]oth past and future anthropogenic (man-made) carbon dioxide emissions will continue to contribute to global warming and sea level rise for more than a millennium, due to the time scales required for removal of this gas from the atmosphere.” For those of you who do not know, the IPCC is more than just Gore’s co-conspirator in the global warming fraud, they are co-recipients of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.

It is a little unfair to blame the Greens for the bit of the policy that they didn’t want - really Labour and National have forced this bit.

Ecology will limit itself to a problem of sustainable development, intellectual property to an issue of complex legislation, and biogenetics to a question of ethics.

Biodiesel[Biodiesel] Debate on biofuels heats up the summit: “They want to decontaminate the planet, to combat the global heating, they sign the protocol of Kyoto, and when Brazil offers a non originator of CO2 fuel, they prefer to use one that emits it; that is a contradiction”, he said.

The Federal Reserve and other US banking regulators, worried about financial markets, are also working on stricter rules for credit card issuers, prohibiting unfair practices, such as arbitrarily raising interest rates on outstanding balances.

mimblr.com[mimblr.com] Fully Flared: The bottom line to me is that blogs are a good thing because its about as close to the true free exchange of ideas and opinions that your going to get. The fact that bloggers dont have the pretension of objectivity one sees in newspapers can be grating when manifested as partisan sniping (as in the piece you describe), but in the long run it creates a readership better able to sort through the muck and come to the right conclusion.
