Greenpeace wants to save what's left

[AdJab] However, I also have to add that while I like the ad, it does have a kind of "defeated" feel to it, as if it's indirectly telling us that despite tenacious efforts, the idea of stopping this kind of urban progress is pointless.

Safety Checks on GMOs Flawed: EU Environment Chief

http://greenr.com [ greenr » renewable energy, peak oil, and global warming » news and solutions] Europe’s environment chief attacked the EU’s top food safety agency on Wednesday for flawed risk assessments of genetically modified (GMO) crops and foods, saying it relied too much on data given by the biotech industry. In a strong hint he was unwilling to process new requests for approval of GMOs for growing until their potential long-term impact was known, EU Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas also warned against using such data as a sole information source.

More on Monsanto’s GM Alfalfa

[Ag Moment - Go ahead, take a moment for some Ag news and information on the net] Farmers and environmentalists are suing federal agencies for allowing a bio-technology giant to market genetically modified alfalfa, allegedly without fully considering potential harm to the American food supply and environment. Illegal Fishing Killing Thousands of Endangered Turtles?
